Ewange – A casa mia (At my place) is a small and cozy B&B in Uganda, near Kampala managed by a Ugandan-Italian couple. Whether you’re travelling for leisure or business, at Ewange you can enjoy true Ugandan hospitality with an Italian touch in a family atmosphere.
We have six stylish and nicely decorated double rooms which underline our passion for detail. A beautiful mature garden and a swimming pool to relax are at your disposal.

We are conveniently located outside the hustle and bustle of Kampala, Uganda, on the hill of Buziga with spectacular views of Lake Victoria and yet within 20 minutes’ drive to downtown or 30 minutes’ drive to Entebbe airport.

The Ewange story

Elena and James are an Italian-Ugandan couple who spend their life between Milan and Kampala. A couple of years ago Elena discovered an abandoned house owned by James on the hill of Buziga in Kampala and was immediately fascinated by the stunning view of the lake and the surrounding area.
“At night you have a feeling of gazing down on stars as the surrounding lights from the houses below light up”.

The couple soon decided to transform that old house into a small and cozy B&B in Uganda and Elena, who is passionate about interior design, started furnishing and decorating the place.
“We wanted it to be Ugandan but with an Italian touch, just like us”.

This is how Ewange started.

Hospitality and services

Our dedicated team is ready to assist you and to take care of your well-being during your stay.
We speak your language: English, Italian, Luganda, Swahili, German and French.

Our breakfast and light meals

Select one from our delicious breakfast options and enjoy it freshly prepared every morning.

As a B&B we do not offer lunch and dinner except in isolated situations.
For the latter we have a limited selection of snacks and light meals to be ordered in advance at an extra fee. Our staff will be happy to show you the available options.
The neighborhood is also served with some nice local and international restaurants, some of which also have delivery services.

Relax in our living room or watch your favourite film or cable sports in our TV room.
Take a swim in the swimming pool.
Enjoy the fresh breeze of the hill sitting out in our luxurious garden.
At night we can lighten up our jico stove for you while you gaze down at the starry city lights.

Birdwatching

Uganda is a bird watching paradise. You can quietly observe several of the indigenous species in our garden.

Village and cultural walks

The walks through the surrounding villages provide an insight into daily life in rural and urban Uganda. Take some small change with you and try out some of the street food on sale.
Our neighborhood is safe nevertheless we advise you to leave your valuables behind, take the normal commonsense precautions and avoid walking after dark. Don’t wear stilettos for the walk, there is no tarmac!

Entebbe is the former Capital of Uganda; discover some of the still standing colonial masterpieces.

Love this place

Situated at the top of a hill so that the evenings are cool and the views are beautiful. The home and rooms are immaculate, very nicely decorated and the staff felt like good friends by the time my stay was up. Breakfast was cooked to order each morning and served with love. Just a great place to stay and far enough from the hustle of the city to be relaxing. Just a wonderful place to stay.
The last part of the road is bumpy, but don’t let that keep you from staying at this gem of a bed and breakfast.
